EMI & EMC TESTING ITS APPLICATION

 EMI and EMC testing procedures are important for ensuring that electronic devices do not emit harmful electromagnetic radiation. These tests can also help ensure that devices are resistant to electromagnetic interference (EMI).



THERE ARE TWO MAIN TYPES OF EMI AND EMC TESTING:

Conducted emissions testing and radiated emissions testing. Conducted emissions tests measure the electromagnetic energy that is emitted from a device through its power cord. Radiated emissions tests measure the electromagnetic energy that is emitted from a device in the form of radio waves.

Conducted emissions tests are typically performed using an oscilloscope and a spectrum analyzer. Radiated emissions tests are typically performed using an antenna and a spectrum analyzer.

EMI and EMC testing is important for electronic devices that are used in environments where electromagnetic radiation could be harmful. These tests can also help ensure that devices are resistant to interference from other electronic devices.
